Nearly 1 in 6 drivers today are uninsured. What happens if one hits you? As an attorney who has seen this scenario many times, my advice is simple: buy Uninsured Motorist (UM) coverage.
UM provides insurance to protect you and your family if an uninsured or under-insured driver hits and injures you. In Georgia, you have the option of “add-on” UM, which adds extra coverage if the at-fault driver has insurance – but not enough.
The coverage is relatively inexpensive, but can make all the difference to you. Insurance exists to protect you. UM coverage does exactly that.
