ATL is often the crossroads of America

In the security line yet again Monday at Hartsfield-Jackson International, I heard, “Chris!” Without looking, I recognized the voice, replying, “Norman DuPre,” whom I met in first grade at Christ the King.

He was headed to Chicago for a Coca-Cola meeting. I was headed to San Diego and Seattle to find new 100 members.

Though more than 100 million people pass through ATL annually, I inevitably bump into someone I know, often travelers from other cities. I’ve taken almost 40 flights around the country this year, and seeing someone I know always brings a smile to my face.
