Docuseries ‘Surviving Lake Lanier’ now streaming

by The 100 Companies

A new docuseries based on the history and alleged haunting of Lake Lanier is now available on Amazon Prime. Titled “Surviving Lake Lanier,” the docuseries explores the stories of several people who had near-death encounters at or near the lake.

The tragedy behind Lake Lanier begins with Oscarville, a once-thriving Black town that was destroyed by angry mobs after a white woman was found dead in nearby woods. In the 1950s, Lake Lanier was formed where the town once stood, with many locals believing the lake is haunted due to the high number of drownings and disappearances associated with it.
