Museums dedicated to planes, trains and Scarlett O’Hara will partner with Smithsonian magazine to celebrate Museum Day on Saturday, Sept. 22. During the event, participating museums and cultural institutions offer complimentary admission to Museum Day ticket holders.
Across Georgia, there are 42 museums to visit. Around Atlanta, participating museums include the Delta Flight Museum, Marietta Gone With the Wind Museum, Southeastern Railway Museum and Barrington Hall, to name a few.
To get tickets, museumgoers must provide their name, email address and museum they want to attend. Tickets will be available for immediate download. Each ticket provides admission for two people.
