Fairies, lovers, actors and royals will frolic under the stars in an outdoor Elizabethan playhouse when Shakespeare Kennesaw presents its inaugural show, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
Described as one of Shakespeare’s most light-hearted comedies, the show portrays the events surrounding the marriage of Theseus, the Duke of Athens, to Hippolyta, the former queen of the Amazons. The play’s confused lovers, misguided fairy spells, amateur actors and wild transformations are sure to entertain theatergoers.
The performances will begin at 8PM on June 22 and 23 at the Legacy Gazebo amphitheater on Kennesaw State University’s campus. Tickets range from $10-$27.
