When our governor announced the closure of schools for the remainder of the year, parent anxiety soared.
Will my child fail kindergarten because I can’t be with her all day while she attends virtual school? How can I help my kid with algebra when I barely remember long division?
Parents, here’s a reminder – when live school resumes, it will be different. Kids may be behind based on current standards. However, standards will be updated in response to all this, and equity will have to be looked at in a whole new light. The kids – our kids – are gonna be alright.
