Atlanta’s top public transportation system, MARTA, recently updated its services in response to the growing threat of COVID-19.
Three modes of service include bus, rail and streetcar transportation. While MARTA wants to continue serving Atlanta, the main focus is keeping riders, employees and the city safe.
As of April 1, MARTA has reduced bus service by 30%. Rail service is running on a modified Sunday schedule, with trains arriving approximately every 20 minutes, and streetcar service is also operating on a Sunday schedule. MARTA is committed to providing essential transit service and is making real-time updates available on the website.
