The playwriting process becomes the show when Synchronicity Theatre presents “SheWrites,” a national playwriting competition for women.

“SheWrites” features the work of three women as they polish their plays with the help of a professional director, dramaturg, stage manager and actors. Over 10 days, the playwrights fine-tune their previously unproduced plays, ending with a public reading of each script.

The featured plays are: “Medica” by Daryl Lisa Fazio, Feb. 21; “Romeo & Naomi” by Kathryn Walat, Feb. 22; and “Hands of Color” by Kimberly Monks, Feb. 24. All shows begin at 7:30 PM. Tickets are free but require reservations.
