To kick off the 2016-2017 season, Synchronicity Theatre will present a fresh take on a familiar tale of romance, betrayal and downfall.
With Anne Boleyn, playwright Howard Brenton tells the story of King Henry VIII’s notorious second wife. Set in London, this revisionist history recasts Anne Boleyn as a royally ambitious character seeking to secure her marriage to the king, yet equally devout Protestant devoted to the Reformation. The cast includes a number of Atlanta-based actors, including Brooke Owens as Anne Boleyn.
Anne Boleyn runs September 23 – October 16. Show times are Wednesday-Saturday, 8PM, and Sunday, 5PM.
