1. A renovation is disruptive – a major project can put you out of your home for a year or more.
2. A renovation can be more expensive than moving due to the extra time and cost required to selectively de-construct and re-construct the home.
3. It’s possible you want your present home to be something it just can’t be. If the scope and complexity of the work is too great, it can be a better choice to move or even tear down and build new on your lot.
