I’ve since stumbled upon Chris Voss, hostage negotiator turned business consultant and author. I recently participated in a virtual event with Voss and am reading his book, “Never Split the Difference.” He shares that responses from unsubs have different meanings. “You’re right” means stop talking, “that’s right” means you get me. Getting what you want is an art, and knowing how wins the battle.
