Inspired by the utility of Ponce City Market’s bike-accessible food and retail halls, MailChimp Co-founder Dan Kurzius wanted to create something special MailChimp employees could enjoy. A new company app did the trick.

The bike-share app allows all 700 employees to rent a bike and take a ride around the Ponce area. “The popularity of bikes on the Krog St. property validated that we needed to do something for our employees at Ponce,” Kurzius explained.

The bike room holds 100 employee bikes, with seven rentable bikes, generating an average of two to three bike check-outs daily.
