Collecting from Friends

by

As anyone who has ever organized a March Madness pool pr beach week with friends can tell you, collecting money from a group of people is exhausting.

Thanks to Crowdtilt, which allows for ‘bitesize’ crowdfunding, you can avoid moonlighting as a debt collector.

I used the site in 2012 to gauge interest in renting a mountain cabin for a friend’s wedding.

When eight friends got on board, instead of having to ask for checks, Crowdtilt wired me the funds as soon as the campaign “tipped,” allowing me to put down a deposit on an unforgettable weekend.
