Some days I don’t understand life but many more times death. This week, I received the news that a dear friend and colleague passed away. She was a one-of-a-kind Atlanta icon.
I met Mary Ann Hearn many years ago through our work with Underground Atlanta and our local concierge affiliation. With incredible red hair, a big smile and, most of all, her spectacular laugh, she was unforgettable. She never met a stranger and, having worked for the ACVB for 36 years, was the welcoming committee to Atlanta.
She was a huge fan of 360 and I will miss her dearly.

Mary Ann approached me when I was working as a concierge at a downtown hotel while studying at GSU. She asked me if I would come and work with her at Underground Atlanta. She became one of my best friends. We worked at Underground several years. I started travelling the world and eventually relocated to San Francisco. We always stayed in touch. She was a friend, family member and mentor all at the same time. I will miss her terribly.
