I knew we’d be ziplining on the world’s largest canopy tour at Historic Banning Mills. I was prepared to go soaring through the treetops at speeds up to 60 mph. But no one told me about the bridges. Or the tightropes and the planks.
I’m proud to say I survived the Extreme Canopy Tour, which included walking several metal tightropes and wooden planks. I even stopped to enjoy the view as we crossed a 600-foot-long bridge, 190 feet above Snake Creek Gorge.
After that stepping off the 200-foot-tower for the half-mile zipline was a breeze.
