Maybe I’m a step closer to getting a Jetsons’-style Rosie to clean my home. In Nagasaki, Japan, Henn-na Hotel (translates to Weird Hotel) is staffed primarily by robots.
While most of the robots represent young Japanese women, English-speaking guests are checked in by a creepy bow-tie clad velociraptor. Keys are not issued; facial authentication unlocks your door.
A robotic porter delivers your bags to your room, where you’ll find a lamp-size robot, Tuly, who tells you the time and adjusts the lighting. She won’t change the temperature, though. A sensor panel detects your body heat and adjusts the temperature.
