Our weekend getaway to Greenville, SC was astonishing to my husband, who hadn’t returned since he’d been a young reporter there and Main Street was “a canyon of wig shops.”
It has radically transformed to a pedestrian-friendly, lively scene of top restaurants and retail. At one end are the beautiful grounds around the Reedy River, spanned by the $4.5 million Liberty Bridge. We enjoyed people watching while dining on ahi tuna tacos at the Green Room and loved brunch at Soby’s on Main with a build-your-own Blood Mary bar.
A highlight was renting bikes and cruising the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
