Lifeline Animal Project partners with Finding Rover

Lifeline Animal Project

A pet owner’s worst fear is losing a pet. While the use of microchips has proven quite successful in reuniting owners with their furry friends, Lifeline Animal Project is the first Atlanta shelter to partner with Finding Rover to also use facial recognition software.

The service is free and as simple as uploading a missing pet’s photo to the website or mobile app. The photo is then cross-referenced with a photo database of all stray dogs and cats within 200 miles of Fulton County at Lifeline’s three shelters. It’s also compared to photos of found animals uploaded by community members.
