One of the biggest gripes many have with Atlanta is that public transit doesn’t have the reach it does in other cities. A new proposed bus rapid transit line from MARTA has the potential to change that.
While bus rapid transit sounds familiar, we have never seen it in Atlanta. Performing like a light rail, it typically operates in a dedicated bus or express lane to avoid getting caught in standard traffic. It also stops less frequently than MARTA buses, and passengers pay the toll at stations where boarding.
