As ritzy as it may look, Lexus’ mid-sized sports sedan starts for under $50,000, putting it well within purchase range of an aspirational under-30 in a lucrative industry. But is it worth buying?
Compared to its German rivals, the BMW 5-series and Mercedes E-Class, the GS is slower, thirstier and less refined around the corners. But in exchange, you get legendary Lexus reliability and a buttery-smooth ride.
Performance junkies should look elsewhere, but those looking to invest in a long-term, family-friendly luxury ride with some added pep should consider the Lexus GS.
