Out of Atlanta’s 242 official neighborhoods, appropriately named Just Us is the smallest, spanning just two streets.
The neighborhood has 60 homes, nestled beside Ashview Heights and Washington Park in southwest Atlanta, .7 miles from the Ashby MARTA Station. Just Us was established as the first constructed, black-owned neighborhood inside the city.
Despite its size, the neighborhood boasts two triangular parks – one dedicated to President John F. Kennedy and one to the neighborhood’s first president – and a commemorative plaque dedicated to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., proving even the smallest plots of lands can have a sense of place.
