Mirae means “future” in Korean, and let me tell you, this slick new restaurant in Brookhaven lived up to its name.
First, the atmosphere. In a break with tradition, Mirae went with a simple, elegant and industrial vibe. The end product is “Blade Runner “meets “The Menu.” We loved it.
Next, the food. Mirae’s menu isn’t futuristic in the “astronaut food” sense, but rather, the “fresh and inventive” sense. The Korean Beef Tartare, Shrimp Toast Menshoba, Claypot Chicken and especially the Seabass Chilean with soy-infused cauliflower purée all dazzled us with their flavor and uniqueness.
