In 2025, the National Women’s Soccer League awarded Atlanta one of its 17 expansion franchises. This week, the club’s official name, Atlanta City FC, was announced and its crest and colors unveiled.
Portraying a phoenix, symbolizing the city’s strength and resilience, with tree roots representing quiet strength, the crest also includes a hidden “A” as a nod to Atlanta. The official colors are Atlanta red, peach, white, platinum and black.
On Oct. 4, Atlanta City FC will host a free launch party at Southern Exchange Ballrooms downtown from 12-4PM to celebrate the franchise with games, giveaways and unveil official merchandise.
