Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is known for inspiring change. One driving force behind the leader’s messages was his unique and unchanging vision for the world. Repeatedly, he spoke of triumphing over oppression and uniting humankind as one family, referring to this communal ideal by many names, but most enduringly as the Beloved Community.
Available online through April 9, The National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta is hosting a special digital exhibition, “We Share the Dream: King’s Beloved Community,” which examines this ideal and takes a look at Dr. King’s call to understand “the unity of mankind.”
