The Thornton House, named after the man who built it in 1790, is the oldest restored house in Georgia. It has been moved several times throughout its existence, but is currently located in Stone Mountain.
The house’s chief paranormal resident is a young girl, though no one knows exactly who she is. Visitors have reported seeing her leading guests up the stairs and she’s been known to tug on young girls’ ponytails.
During a paranormal investigation, ghost hunters found mass amounts of activity on the property. Along with the young girl, they reported seeing a family peering through the windows.
