“You’re moving where?!” my mom exclaimed when I told her I was moving to West Midtown. Little did she, an Atlanta native, know that the once-bustling industrial area was now home to a budding food and nightlife scene, lush parks and trendy families.

Whether you spend an afternoon shopping at Westside Provisions, take up a new sport such as duck pin bowling, or grab a bite and a drink at one of the award-winning restaurants or bars, there is something to do for everyone.

A must on my list? Northside Tavern for great live music and cheap PBR.
