We’re lucky enough to live in a city with countless walkable neighborhoods, and one of our favorites is Decatur. Technically outside of the city, Decatur is a family-friendly suburb overflowing with restaurants, nightlife, shopping and events.

When I mention Piedmont Heights, most people usually aren’t familiar with the area. However, the small neighborhood – nestled between Midtown, Morningside and Buckhead – packs a big punch.

I lived in Summerhill three years ago, but walking down Georgia Avenue now, I notice things are vastly different in the once-neglected historic neighborhood.

Looking for a small city feel that’s still in Atlanta? Virginia-Highland is the place to be. Located on North Highland and Virginia Avenues, the trendy neighborhood offers a variety of options to eat, shop and play.

I moved to Midtown over three years ago, and little did I know that it would become my favorite area in the city.

If you thought all the hipsters were only in Little Five, time to rethink Atlanta. Located around Carroll and Wylie Streets, and home to the famous Oakland Cemetery (hello Margaret Mitchell), Cabbagetown is known for its artists, filmmakers and all creative types.

“You’re moving where?!” my mom exclaimed when I told her I was moving to West Midtown. Little did she, an Atlanta native, know that the once-bustling industrial area was now home to a budding food and nightlife scene, lush parks and trendy families.

After 18 years in downtown Atlanta, our office moved to Grant Park. Since arriving three years ago, we’ve fallen in love with the quaint, charming neighborhood and all its offerings.

Established in 1835, the historic West End neighborhood in southwest Atlanta has been experiencing a revitalization, thanks in part to its mile-long stretch of the Atlanta BeltLine. Families and first-time homebuyers looking to live intown are drawn to its tree-lined streets and historic Craftsman bungalows, Victorian and Queen Anne-style homes. Neighborhood events include holiday parties, porch parties and an annual home tour.
