New Atlanta nonprofit steps up the sustainability game

by The 100 Companies

Founded by Atlanta powerhouses Liz Lapidus, Johanna Reisinger and Butch Whitfield, Root Local is a newly formed nonprofit dedicated to guiding Atlantans in being better stewards of our environment through collective impact planning.

Collective impact planning is the “master plan” by which Root Local brings together environmental allies, identifies opportunities for impact, connects stakeholders and educates the community to conserve our natural resources. The nonprofit then recommends step-by-step actions that individuals, communities and organizations can take to minimize the collective carbon footprint being left behind.
