child trick or treating

Halloween can be a wonderful and fun holiday. Leaves are falling, kids are dressed up and there’s candy galore. What’s not to love? This year, follow these safety tips to ensure a fun and safe Halloween.

When planning children’s costumes, make sure they’re bright and reflective, with properly fitting shoes and clothes that won’t cause a tripping hazard. Instruct children not to eat treats until they return home.

If you’re expecting trick-or-treaters, make sure the porch doesn’t contain tripping hazards, that the house is well lit and that all pets are inside, away from visitors. Lastly, be aware of allergies.
