Georgia tourism reaches record heights

by The 100 Companies

Georgia’s tourism industry continues to drive economic growth, setting records for the fourth consecutive year in 2025, ranking fifth nationally. A total of 175.6 million visitors traveled to the state, spending $46.2 billion at hotels, restaurants, attractions and local businesses.

Tourism generated $5.3 billion in state and local tax revenue, saving Georgia households an average of nearly $1,300 annually. The industry supports almost 474,000 jobs and contributes $84.1 billion in statewide economic impact.

State leaders credit Georgia’s diverse attractions, welcoming communities and strategic tourism promotion efforts for keeping the Peach State among the nation’s most visited and economically vibrant destinations.
