It’s like “White Lotus,” I thought as we approached the dock of the new Prana Maya Island Resort and saw the staff waving at us. While the setting, service and food rivaled that of the luxurious properties in the TV series, we were spared the murderous mayhem and reveled in tranquil relaxation at this new small resort near Placencia, Belize.
I lounged by a private plunge pool, indulged in a stone massage, devoured a lobster dinner cooked by a private chef in my elegant villa and pedaled a water bike. This elegant resort perfectly mixes luxury with opportunities for adventure.
