Fireworks, friendship and the 4th

It’s hard to believe we’re already heading into July. For several years, I’ve spent July Fourth with friends who live downtown. We gather, dine on a potluck meal, make cocktails, dance and sing at the top of our lungs – Fergie’s “Glamorous” is a crowd favorite.

The main attraction? Fireworks at dusk peppering the Atlanta skyline, all viewed from the 15th-floor loft.

It is amazing to see the sky erupt from Mableton to Decatur, Stone Mountain to Lenox and beyond. We see it all. Even rogue pop-ups surprise and delight. It’s become my most wonderful time of the year.
