Make tails wag this 4th of July

by
animal shelter volunteers

The two busiest days of the year for animal shelters are July 4 & 5, because many pets get frightened and lost because of fireworks. While Atlanta shelters take precautions for the holiday, there are ways you can also help out.

Volunteering, on July 4 or any day, is highly encouraged. Most shelters and rescues are often at capacity and need the extra help.

Also, fostering an animal already in a shelter during the holiday can help make room for those lost animals until their families can find them. Fostering also helps to socialize the dogs already looking for new homes.
