Muscle cars and crossovers continue to sell like Hamilton tickets, so why hasn’t anyone made a muscle crossover before?
Chevy’s new Blazer may be the first. Featuring a Camaro-inspired interior, the Blazer also handles and accelerates like a much shorter car, ripping to 60 in 6 seconds with a delightful growl. As a crossover, it boasts 64 cubic feet of cargo space, generous legroom for five and off-road capability.
Downsides? Thirst and price. The V6 Blazer chugs 18/25 mpg and starts at $42k. Still, it’s a solid choice for the muscle car enthusiast with a carpool sticker.
