Lexus offers three capable, high-performance sedans. Ranked in order of both size and price, they include the IS, the GS and the LS.
The IS is nimble but tight. The LS is exquisite but pricey. If you were to follow Goldilocks to a Lexus dealer, she’d drive home in a GS. The midsized sports sedan is roomy, capable, handsome and, while not as quick as its German rivals, is more comfortable and dependable.
Surprisingly, I also prefer the smallest engine – the turbo-four in the GS 300. With 241 horsepower, it offers a solid punch while delivering 32 mpg.
