The Passat is VW’s entry into the mid-sized family sedan market, and while its looks don’t kill inside or out, it boasts an intriguing secret weapon.
VW’s spritely 1.8L turbocharged engine provides enough kick around town, and the standard Apple Carplay, which essentially projects your iPhone onto the infotainment screen, are nice touches. But the main draw of the Passat is the exceptionally roomy cabin; at 102 cu. ft., it’s nearly as big inside as the stately Audi A8.
If you routinely transport adults as an Uber driver or DD, the Passat may be your sedan of choice.
