Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States, is well known for being a Georgian and an inspiring philanthropist. In the documentary, “Jimmy Carter: Rock & Roll President,” director Mary Wharton focuses on another mostly forgotten side – his love of music and its significant role in his work.
The film shines a light on not only Carter’s deep passion for music but his relationships with icons like Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, The Allman Brothers Band and others.
Now showing in select theaters nationwide, it will launch Oct. 9 via video on demand and will air on CNN on Jan. 3, 2021.
