Popular neighborhood festivals celebrate fall

Many associate festival season with summer, but Atlanta has no shortage of fun events to enjoy the cooler(ish) months as well. Two of the city’s popular fall events take place on Sept. 21 within a short distance of each other at no cost.

Begin the day at the Old Fourth Ward Fall Festival with live music, food trucks and more in the Old Fourth Ward Skate Park meadow.

As night falls, head to the Lantern Parade viewing area for up-close access to the 10th annual BeltLine Lantern Parade, which begins at 8PM on the nearby BeltLine Eastside Trail.
