Top off a star-spangled run with a cold one

Peachtree Road Race runners

One of the most popular July 4th festivities and Atlanta traditions is the 49th AJC Peachtree Road Race. The world’s largest 10k begins near Buckhead’s Lenox Square Mall and ends in Piedmont Park.

What began in 1970 with 150 runners now boasts 60,000 participants, with 150,000 spectators lining the streets before daybreak to watch the action.

Whether you’re running or watching, there’ll be plenty of options to eat and drink during and after the race. Word on the (Juniper) street? The Lawrence will be serving up beer and grub starting at 9AM to runners with numbers.
