Johns Creek’s dog park woofs its way to a No. 3 national ranking

Metro Atlanta has something to bark about! Newtown Dream Dog Park in Johns Creek has been named the No. 3 dog park in the country by USA TODAY’s 2025 10BEST Readers’ Choice awards.

This vibrant, one-acre park features artificial turf, agility obstacles, separate areas for large and small dogs, sprinklers, water fountains and shaded benches for pet parents. Funded by a PetSafe Dream Dog Park grant, the space remains a community gem.

Though it dropped one spot from last year’s second-place finish, it continues to shine as one of the nation’s best places for pups to play, splash and socialize.
