Honoring heritage: Atlanta celebrates AAPI Month with culture and community

by katem

This May, Atlanta honors Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month with a dynamic lineup of events celebrating the community’s rich history and contributions.

The Children’s Museum of Atlanta offers hands-on activities spotlighting AAPI innovators in science and art, including skyscraper design challenges and storytelling sessions inspired by Asian folklore. On May 22, the National Association of Asian American Professionals hosts a Spring Social at Chattahoochee Food Works, fostering community connections.

Atlantans are also encouraged to support AAPI-owned restaurants throughout the city to experience the diverse flavors and cultures that shape Atlanta’s culinary identity. Visit here for a list.
