Brighten yards with spring blooms

With the first day of spring right around the corner, lush landscapes and bright flowers are on everyone’s minds. For Atlanta residents, it’s the perfect time of year to start a flower garden.

For those who are new to gardening or haven’t had the most success in the past, start with hardy and heat/drought resistant flowers. Beautiful blooms that will last through the season include zinnias, cosmos, shasta and gerbera daisies, (white and colorful) roses and dahlias.

These inexpensive flowers will be sure to brighten a home’s landscaping and yield fresh cut blooms that could brighten the home’s interior, too.
