Atlanta welcomes Mardi Gras festivites

Break out the beads, grab a cocktail and feast on king cake – Mardi Gras season has arrived.

If you’d rather avoid the hassle of traveling to New Orleans though, there are options to celebrate Mardi Gras without stepping foot outside Atlanta.

• Bon Ton in Midtown celebrates on March 5 with a crawfish boil and Fat Tuesday party including a live band, costume contest and specialty cocktails.

• Live! at the Battery Atlanta presents Mardi Gras Live! March 2-3 with jazz music and Cajun fare.

• Ponce City Market hosts a Mardi Gras party and crawfish boil March 2 on The Roof.
