On Monday, Jan. 18, Americans honor the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a Day of Service. The “day on, not a day off” is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage volunteering. This year, Hands on Atlanta is hosting events throughout the month of January.
Some events and opportunities include working with food pantries, helping Open Hand Atlanta to deliver meals to the community, helping to plant trees in Dunwoody and much more. Visit HandsOnAtlanta.org/MLK-day to learn more about the opportunities available and how you can participate.
