MARTA is rolling out major improvements in 2026, reshaping how Atlantans and visitors get around.
New CQ400 railcars will replace aging trains, featuring open gangways, charging ports and real-time service information. A contactless fare system, Better Breeze, will allow riders to tap cards or phones for faster entry. MARTA’s NextGen Bus Network will expand frequent service across key corridors, while MARTA Reach introduces on-demand transit in select zones. The Rapid A-Line adds Atlanta’s first bus rapid transit route.
