Some of Broadway’s hottest award-winning shows are coming to Atlanta for the 2018-19 Broadway in Atlanta season. I’m most excited to see “Waitress,” that testament to the power of pie, and “Dear Evan Hansen,” which won a Tony in 2017 for Best Musical.
Also added to my calendar is “Come From Away,” a musical based on the true story of the town in Newfoundland that took in 7,000 passengers who were stranded there on 9/11.
The line-up also includes old favorites like “Irving Berlin’s White Christmas,” “Les Miserables,” “School of Rock,” “Cats” and “Disney’s Aladdin.”
