Since inception, Kickstarter handpicked every project that made it onto the site, cultivating a community of innovative artisans in the process. Yet to accelerate growth, Kickstarter has now reversed that labor-intensive policy and as expected, a flood of Potato Salad knockoffs and other sure-to-fail campaigns are popping up on the site hoping to cash in.
