You’ve enjoyed the beer it inspired; now stay at the park. Sweetwater Creek State Park, located about 20 miles west of Atlanta, is adding its first overnight accommodations, open for reservations September 1.
Bed down in your choice of five tent campsites or in the 10-yurt village, which each sleep up to six and include a deck, picnic table and fire ring for $85 per night. Hot showers are available at a bathhouse.
Sweetwater has a Visitor Center, picnic shelters, nine miles of hiking trails and a 215-acre lake for fishing with paddleboards, canoes and kayaks available to rent seasonally.
