Hartsfield-Jackson recently unveiled two Delta-financed upgraded security lanes in the South Terminal checkpoint in an effort to speed up the ever-lengthening security process. Here are some pros and cons of the new system:
Pros:
• Five people can load bins at one time.
• After use, the bins are automatically returned to the beginning (like a bowling ball!).
• Bags that require further inspection are automatically rerouted.
Cons:
• Your bin may travel through faster than you do if you have to wait to go through the screening gate. So your items may be out of your sight for a while.
