Moving is a stressful experience and the packing process can feel never-ending. You may trash many old broken items, but feel wasteful throwing out some items, such as unopened food.
Instead of discarding those cans of baked beans and soup, what about donating them to a local food bank? Move for Hunger has partnered with several Atlanta moving companies; hire one and they will also collect your non-perishable goods and deliver them to local food banks. Less to pack, and the food isn’t wasted.
Since 2009, Move for Hunger has delivered more than five tons to food banks throughout Georgia.
